a little History

Birmingham Case Makers Limited is the final incarnation of over 40 years of handmade presentation case manufacturing. Founded in 1979 the business has been an industry leader ever since. We started as one of over thirty case makers based within the world-renowned Birmingham Jewellery Quarter, and are now the leading casemaker in the U.K.

Our aim is simple – to produce the very best quality handmade 100% British manufactured luxury display and presentation cases. Our service is proactive, responsive and innovative. We are your partner in the pursuit of excellence in quality, style and design.

We have grown our reputation over 40 years by referrals from our ever-expanding customer base. We are proud to include many British and overseas businesses, large and small from one-person artisan jewellers to international corporate gift companies as our customers; each offering luxury products enhanced by our cases. We continue to grow and expand our first class client list with our cases being used by; the British Royal Family, HM Government, a dozen and more governments and Royal Families from around the world, the Vatican, the Football Association, the Premier and Eglish Football & Rugby Leagues, Wimbledon LTA, Harrods, Grant MacDonald Goldsmiths, Rolls Royce, Aston Martin and our list keeps growing.

Dean Reilly

Commercial Director

Dean ensures that the commercial side of the business runs smoothly and supports our manufacturing operation. He is the vital link between your specification, our suppliers and our production team, ensuring that the impossible is achieved on time and at the right price. Dean is also our office IT expert, keeping our systems running – or more specifically fixing what Shaun has broken.

Shaun Adams

Managing Director

As the famous saying goes “I liked it so much I bought the company”. This is exactly what Shaun did in 2012. Shaun is a double apprenticed mechanical engineer and cabinet maker with over 30 years business development and management experience across all manufacturing sectors.Shaun oversees company direction keeping us ahead of our competition here and internationally, most recently successfully securing match funding to invest £90,000 in the purchase of a state of the art laser cutter and engraver, adding extra speed to our volume manufacturing and precision to our handmade products.

Shaun puts “his money where his mouth is” and so far (all fingers and toes crossed!!) the company goes from strength to strength year on year.

Dean Chamberlain

Production Director

Dean is the longest serving member of our management team with 22 years in the presentation case making industry. Over the last 8 years he has also been making some very nice cabinetry too. He oversees both the making of the timber part of our products and our general manufacturing process, ensuring that orders are made to specification and safely dispatched.
